In this retelling, young, eager businessman John Faustus makes a deal with the devil: his soul for 2 year of excessive wealth and celebrity. We are experimenting with the internet and ichat as theatrical tools, and an actor-interactive soundscape created live by James Monaco. This is a quarter-life crisis not to be missed.
Scoville is doing the project as part of the Public Domain Series being produced by The Tank and Full Circle Theater Company. 6 directors were paired up with 6 plays in the public domain based on web-audience voting.
